The rally “They fought so we could live in peace,” dedicated to the Day of Grodno’s liberation from Nazi invaders, was held in Zhiliber Park. Each year on July 16, the people of Grodno gather to honor those who brought peace, prosperity, and the joy of freedom to their beloved city. They assemble by the Eternal Flame to pay tribute to the heroes whose legacy is remembered and cherished by the descendants of the victors.
The solemn ceremony united government officials, security forces, public organizations, labor collectives, veterans, youth, and everyone who carries the history of valor and victory in their hearts. Among the participants were representatives of the labor collective of OJSC “Grodno Tobacco Factory Neman,” who paid tribute to the soldiers who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of Belarus by laying flowers at the memorial dedicated to Soviet soldiers and partisans.
The company’s top employees also joined the procession of Grodno’s labor collectives.
