On July 17, 1861, the tobacco factory in Grodno was opened by merchants Abram Gordon and Leyba Shereshevsky. Open Joint Stock Company Grodno Tobacco Factory “Neman” is one of the oldest enterprises in the Republic, which, throughout its more than 150-year history, has never changed its original specialization, carrying its rich traditions and distinguished name through the ages to the present day!
Open Joint Stock Company Grodno Tobacco Factory “Neman” is a leading enterprise that holds a top position in the tobacco products market of the Republic of Belarus. The technological equipment fleet of OJSC “GTF “Neman” includes 13 new cigarette-packaging lines from the world’s best manufacturers — German and Italian companies. The factory produces filter cigarettes in the following formats: King Size, Super Slims, Compact King Size, Queen Size, and Medium Size.
The new modern equipment allows the production of cigarettes in various pack formats (rectangular, octagonal, packs with “round” corners such as R-corner and D-shape) using innovative technologies: with a mouthpiece filter, filter with a capsule, filter with a flavor thread, and packaging of packs in colored polypropylene
Continuous development and introduction of new product brands to the market are carried out with the aim of maximizing consumer preference satisfaction. In order to maximize demand satisfaction in international markets, not only the company’s own brands are exported, but also brands produced according to individual customer orders.
JSC “GTF “Neman” is equipped with machinery for the production of acetate and carbon-acetate filters for the manufacturing of tobacco products in all formats: “King Size”, “Super Slims”, “Compact King Size”, “Queen Size”, “Medium Size”, including the innovative TUBE filter, which is a new technology for the factory. Filter production is carried out both for the company’s own needs and for orders from other companies in domestic and international markets.
JSC “GTF “Neman” is the first domestic manufacturer of hookah tobacco under its own brand “Maldiva”. Currently, we offer consumers 17 varieties of this product. Additionally, the factory was the first to master the production of fine-cut smoking tobacco under the “NZ” brand, which is made from natural raw materials without the use of flavoring additives and is packaged in a convenient ZIP bag.
For cigarette manufacturers, JSC “Grodno Tobacco Factory “Neman” offers cut tobacco blends, which can be produced according to the customer’s recipes.
In 2024, the production of organic fertilizer “Tobacco Dust” was launched – a natural product used in gardening and horticulture not only as an effective method for controlling insects and pests but also as an organic fertilizer.
In order to assist in the fight against the spread of viral infections, a decision was made to produce personal protective equipment. In 2020, JSC “GTF “Neman” began the production and sale of a new product for the factory – disposable three-layer household masks made of natural non-woven material SpunBond. The production uses materials from domestic manufacturers.
The activities of JSC “Grodno Tobacco Factory “Neman” are not limited to production. The factory develops its own social projects, including: the “Prival” recreation center on the picturesque bank of the Neman River near the city of Grodno, offering unique services for family recreation, mass sports events, celebrations, and business events. On the territory of the “Prival” recreation center is the “Prival Hotel”, with rooms of various comfort levels; the agro-eco-tourism complex “White Elk” in the Logoysk district, 60 km from Minsk and the National Airport “Minsk”, offering a range of services for hunting in natural conditions and in enclosures, sport fishing, sports tournaments and competitions, including international events, as well as rest and comfortable accommodation for families with children and hosting corporate events. At the “White Elk” agro-eco-tourism complex, the “Scout” club operates – a unique project for children aged 12 to 17 during school holidays, teaching survival skills in natural environments.

the Republic of Belarus, granting the right to engage in activities related to the production of alcoholic beverages, non-food alcohol-containing products, non-food ethyl alcohol, and tobacco products (Decree of the State Standard dated 18.02.2008 No. 32)
