Our Production
OJSC «GTF «Neman» carries out a full cycle of tobacco product manufacturing, which includes the preparation of tobacco production batches, the processing and reprocessing of leaf tobacco, as well as the direct production of cigarettes, hookah tobacco, fine-cut smoking tobacco, and cigarette filter rods.
The preparation of cut tobacco blends of the American Blend type is carried out using modern technological equipment. Advanced technologies have been implemented for saucing leaf tobacco and flavoring cut tobacco, along with new methods for processing tobacco stems and Burley tobacco, as well as an automated line for the preparation of American Blend cut tobacco.
The tobacco products of OJSC «GTF «Neman» are manufactured using state-of-the-art technological equipment, which allows for the production of 10,000 to 12,000 cigarettes per minute and the packaging of 550 to 600 packs. Despite such high speeds, 100% quality control of each produced unit is ensured.
Formats of cigarette packaging lines
The technological equipment park of JSC «GTF «Neman» includes cigarette packaging lines of the following formats: «King Size», «Super Slims», «Compact King Size», «Queen Size» and «Medium Size». The product portfolio of its own cigarette brands includes 50 items intended for sale on the domestic and foreign markets.

Production and quality control
The quality control of tobacco products manufactured by OJSC «GTF «Neman» is carried out in a laboratory accredited within the national accreditation system of the Republic of Belarus. Testing of tobacco products for physical parameters is performed using a modern test station. Cigarettes are checked for compliance with GOST standards and the Technical Regulations on tobacco products (including measurements of physical parameters, visual inspection, and analysis of tar, nicotine, and carbon monoxide content). Chemical analysis is conducted using gas chromatographs. The smoking machine is equipped with a module for determining the carbon monoxide content in cigarette smoke. Specially trained tasters assess the consistency of flavor and aroma in cigarette smoke
At all stages, the production process is closely monitored, with continuous efforts made to improve quality and ensure safety.
The production control laboratory was first accredited in 2003 within the National Accreditation System of the Republic of Belarus. In 2020, the laboratory was re-accredited in accordance with the requirements of GOST ISO/IEC 17025-2019, as confirmed by an accreditation certificate valid until 2024.
Since 2012, the factory’s laboratory has annually participated in international proficiency testing for determining cigarette smoke safety indicators. These tests are organized by the proficiency testing provider—FSBSI «All-Russian Research Institute of Tobacco, Makhorka and Tobacco Products» of the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
Acetate and carbon acetate filters
In 2019, in order to reduce production costs, the share of imported components and increase exports, a decision was made to diversify production into products, in connection with which lines for the production of acetate and carbon-acetate filters were purchased and put into operation for the production of specialized products of all formats, including the TUBE filter, which is innovative for the factory.
Tobacco for hookahs
JSC «GTF «Neman» is the first domestic manufacturer of hookah tobacco under its own brand name Maldiva. We currently offer consumers 17 types of this product.
Fine-cut smoking tobacco
The factory was also the first to master the production of fine-cut smoking tobacco under the «NZ» brand, which is made from natural raw materials without the use of flavorings and is packaged in a convenient ZIP package.
Organic fertilizer «Tobacco dust»
In 2024, the production of organic fertilizer «Tobacco dust» was mastered — a natural product used in gardening and vegetable growing not only as an effective way to combat insects and pests, but also as an organic fertilizer.
Tobacco mixture
For cigarette manufacturers, we offer a cut tobacco blend, which can be produced, including according to customer recipes.
Production of household masks
In order to help combat the spread of viral infections, a decision was made to manufacture personal protective equipment. In 2020, OJSC «GTF «Neman» launched the production and sale of a new product for the factory — three-layer disposable household masks made from natural non-woven material SpanBel. Domestic materials are used in the manufacturing process.
